We got to visit Andrew’s school, meet his teacher, and drop off his school supplies a couple of days before school started.  He was pretty excited to have his own locker for his backpack, coat, and pillow for resting time.

I just love this kid’s attitude toward life!  Everything is fun and exciting to him and he’s up for any adventure!  He handled his first day of kindergarten like a champ and was so excited to tell me all bout his day when he got home.

School starts at 9am and is about a half mile from our apartment.  We’ve been biking, walking and scootering to school.  It’s so nice to see him again at 3:30 when he comes out the school doors.  I want to run up and give him a big hug just like Alex does!  His teacher, Mrs. Rosenberg, is pretty awesome and Andrew thinks she hung the moon.

I love hearing him tell me about his day while he sits up to the bar and has a snack.  He says recess is his favorite because he loves to swing.  He’s had a few emotional drop offs but only one day of tears last week.  He’s been tired, grumpy, and moody sometimes in the evening but he seems to be adjusting well!
