Kangaroos and a Koala

Sadly, this is our last weekend in Australia 😦  I can’t believe how quickly three months has gone by!  One of the last things on my to do list was petting a koala and feeding kangaroos so we rented a car and drove to Moonlit Sanctuary outside of Melbourne.  The kangaroos were so tame and friendly and as soon as we walked out they knew we had food and came hopping right up to us.

Alex could not get enough of the kangaroos.  He started out feeding them and then petting and then hugging.  He even asked me if he could kiss one lol

The smaller kangroos were really cute and gentle, but the bigger ones were a little more aggressive and kind of scary.  Andrew’s biggest fear coming to Australia was getting kicked by a kangaroo so he stayed as far away from these as he could!

The koala was the coolest part!  He was so chill just sitting there eating his eucalyptus.  He was super soft and cute.  Alex was cracking us up talking baby talk to it.  Good thing it is against the law to pick them up because I’m pretty sure Alex liked him so much he would have grabbed him and high tailed it out of there with his new pet!
