Three Hours in Joshua Tree National Park

After our trip to Disneyland, we decided to make a stop at Joshua Tree National Park on our way home to Arizona.

Hall of Horrors was our favorite stop and where we spent the most time. There were lots of rocks and caves and crevices to explore. If we were into rock climbing (which we aren’t…yet) it looked like there were a lot of rock climbing routes on the backside that would have been super fun. If we were rock climbers haha

The Joshua Trees were so fascinating and seemed more like something out of a Dr. Seuss book than real life.

We went in January and it was very windy and a little bit chilly. With coats and hoods we were still able to enjoy it.

We also stopped at Cholla Cactus Garden which was so unique. I’ve never seen so many cholla in place before!

Helpful Tips:

• Visitor Center is in town (out of the way) and not anything special. We only stopped there for Jr Ranger Books. You could skip it.

• Fill up with water and use the restrooms at the entrance just after the ranger station where you pay.

• No cell service in the park so download a map before you get there.

• It gets VERY hot so I’d recommend visiting in the winter or early spring.
